This college started its journey in the year 1989, as a College of Arts and Commerce followed by the Science stream in the year 1990 catering to the needs of the rural areas. This College after having completed thirty five years is now riding on the crest of the wave of educational excellence. Like a banyan tree, this institution has grown deep roots and has also spread its branches wide encompassing all frontiers viz., academic, sports, curricular and co-curricular activities. Our college has been fortunate enough to make progress on the infra structure front as well and we can now boast of state-of the art infrastructure, thanks to the benevolence of the Government of Goa. Currently, work is in progress to improve / overhaul the infrastructure in the Science Departments.

This esteemed Institution has a vision as ‘Centre of Excellence’ with a dynamic Mission to dedicate its energies to be responsive to the needs of an ever changing society by promoting excellence in academics. Its goals and objectives are geared to encourage advancement in education and to create a culture that inculcates and reinforces ethical and pro-social values for the society in areas such as Arts, Culture Music and Sports.

This institution which started with a menial count below hundred is soaring in its number very soon will be nearing to thousand. Our objectives are aimed at uplifting the first generation learners with the help of versatile, dedicated and highly qualified staff. This institution is indebted to the Government of Goa for its support and co-operation . It has left no stone unturned to provide adequate infrastructure to meet the needs of the times.

At the moment, this institution has set a target to develop a Research culture using advance Technology to create an atmosphere of Higher Education within and overseas. Interfacing Education with Industrial demands will be accomplished to meet the above goals towards the road to development. Moreover, another key factor will be taken care of, to enrich the society with skill based entrepreneurs in the areas of business, finance and management in the corporate world which is the need of the hour. Artistic talents, creativity and linguistic growth will take its roots and blossom in the areas of Arts and Humanities. Literature along with emotional intelligence will promote to accomplish the above dreams and vision.

Our Motto “Service to Others” motivates to work and walk in the avenue to uplift and resolve issues concerning health, education and environment. This academy of wisdom promises you a healthy, clean, disciplined and happy environment.
