The Department of Computer Science conducted a training programme titled “Basic Training on Computers” for the officials of Department of Agriculture, Government of Goa to learn the basic of Computer Skills from 13th to 15th October, 2016. This programme was conducted as a part of MOU, which was signed between Government College, Khandola and Goa Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (GIPARD). In all 21 officials from Department of Agriculture (North District) participated in the programme. The programme was done basically to make the participants aware of Open Source – LibreOffice which is easily downloadable from the Net. The participants had hands-on training on LibreOffice Writer, LibreOffice Calc and LibreOffice Impress. Assignments were given to the participants on each of the topic. Certificates were distributed to the participant at the end of the 3 day programme.
