ADMISSION ELIGIBILITY

B.A. Semester I & II

(A) To be eligible for admission to the Semester-I of the Three Years integrated Programme leading to the Degree of Bachelor of Arts, the candidate should have passed, 1. The Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) Examination conducted by the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education in the Arts Stream, OR 2. the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) Examination conducted by the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education in the Vocational Stream in the subjects notified by Goa University under this clause from time to time, OR 3. Std XII (Arts) or similar Examination of another
body, equivalent to Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Goa and recognized as such by Goa University.

(B) A candidate satisfying the conditions laid down by Goa University for admission to the Semester-I course in B.Sc. or B.Com. shall also be eligible for admission to the Semester-I of B.A.

(C) A candidate not covered under any of the above categories but desirous of seeking admission to the said course may apply to the college. However, the Registrar along with Dean of concerned faculty and Chairperson(s) of Board(s) of Studies of concerned subjects shall decide the eligibility.

(D) A candidate admitted for Semester-I shall be deemed eligible for admission to Semester-II.

(E) A candidate migrating from another recognized University and desirous of direct admission to Semester-II may be considered for admission provided he/ she has cleared/passed First Term /Semester-I Examination of that University with those subjects for which admission is sought and undertakes to successfully complete the other compulsory papers of Semester-I.

B.Com. Semester I & II

(A) To be eligible for admission to the Semester-I of the Three Years integrated programme leading to the Degree of Bachelor of Commerce, the Candidate should have passed (i) the Higher Secondary School Cer-tificate (Std.XII) Examination conducted by Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education in the Commerce stream, OR (ii) the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std.XII) Examination conducted by Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education in thVocational stream in the subjects notified by Goa University, under this clause, from time to time, OR (iii) the Std. XII (Commerce) or similar Examination of another body equivalent to Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Goa and recognized as such by Goa University.

(B) A candidate not covered under any of the above categories but desirous of seeking admission to the said programme may apply to the college. However, the Registrar along with Dean of concerned Faculty and Chairperson(s) of Board(s) of studies of concerned subjects shall decide the eligibility.

(C) A candidate admitted for Semester-I shall be deemed eligible for admission to Semester-II

(D) A candidate migrating from another University and desirous of direct admission to Semester-II may be considered for admission provided he/she has cleared/passed First Term/ Semester-I Examination of that University with those subjects for which admis-sion is sought and undertakes to successfully complete the other compulsory papers of Semester I.

Note: For B.Com. Accounts/Maths subjects at 12th level is desirable.

B.Sc. Semester I & II

(A) To be eligible for admission to the Semester-I of the Three Years integrated course leading to the Degree of Bachelor of Science, the candidate should have passed:
(i) the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std XII) Examination conducted by Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education in the Science Stream, or (ii) the Higher Secondary Certificate (Std. XII) Examination conducted by Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education in the Vocational Stream in the subjects notified by Goa University under this clause, from time to time. or (iii) Std. XII (Science) or similar Examination of another body equivalent to Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Goa and recognized as such by Goa University.

(B) A candidate not covered under any of the above categories but desirous of seeking admission to the said course may apply to the college. However, the Registrar along with Dean of concerned Faculty and Chairperson(s) of Board(s) of studies of concerned subjects shall decide the eligibility.

(C) A candidate admitted for Semester-I shall be deemed eligible for admission to Semester-II

(D) A candidate migrating from another University and desirous of direct admission to Semester-II may be considered for admission provided he/she has cleared/passed First Term/ Semester-I Examination of that University with those subjects for which admission is sought and undertakes to successfully complete the other compulsory papers of Semester-I.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

The college admission process will commence from 06.05.2016.

The Admissions for I Semester B.A, B.Sc. and B.Com. programmes will be held as follows:

The admissions will be as per availability of seats and will be on first come first serve basis for the first attempt candidates securing minimum 40 percent in the relevant stream with a relaxation of 5 per cent for SC/ST/OBC candidates. Other applicants will be kept in waiting list and the selection list of wait listed candidates will be made available in the Admission Section or displayed on the College Notice Board on 05.06.2016. The reservation of seats to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH candidates will be as per
the norms of Government of Goa.

I phase: 12.05.2016 to 19.05.2016 – Only acceptance and scrutiny of forms. Fee has to be paid during 20.05.14 to 23-05-14.

II phase: 27.05.2016 to 05.06.2016 – along with the payment of fees.

III Phase: 09.06.2016 to 12.06.2016 – For Wait listed Candidates and pending cases.

IV & last Phase: From 16.06.2016 onwards till the last day of admission as per Goa University guidelines only for Vacant Seats, if any.

1) FOR FIRST SEMESTER B.A./B.SC./B.COM. PROGRAMMES

A) In the case of student passing from Goa Board:

a) The candidate has to produce the statement of marks of Std.XII and collect an application form and the Information Bulletin / College Prospectus from the cashier or the students’ counter by paying the stipulated fee (Rs.100/-).

b) The candidate should read the prospectus before filling up the admission form. The duly filled form should be submitted to the Admission Committee pasting the recent colour photograph along with all other required documents as soon as possible (within 10 days from the date of declaration of HSSC Goa Board result).

c) The documents to be attached: I) One Self Attested Photo Copy of each of the following:

i) HSSC Leaving Certificate

ii) XII Standard Mark Sheet/s

iii) X Standard Mark Sheet.

iv) Caste /PH Certificate and other relevant documents issued by the competent Authority.

v) First page of the Pass Book containing details of Bank Account of the student.

vi) EPIC Card of the student, if he/she has been enrolled as Voter. If not enrolled, submit the same after enrollment.

vii) Adhar Card, if not received enrollment/acknowledgement slip.

viii) Documents recording the break in study, if any.

ix) 3 Recent Passport size Colour Photographs (Including one to be pasted on the Application Form and another on the Identity Card Slip).

* After Scrutiny, if recommended, the candidate will be orally informed or a subsequent Reporting date will be given. The candidate, whose case is not recommended will be kept on the waiting list and will be informed about the next date of contacting the Admission Committee or the Principal to get the status of selection. The candidate failing to get admission will be given other options, if available in the college.

d) On positive recommendation or selection, Immediately the candidate has to contact the Admission Committee and the Admission Section of the College with the

(i) Original HSS Leaving Certificate or the Leaving Certificate of the Last Institution,

(ii) XII Standard/HSSC Statement of Marks

(iii) Caste Certificate or relevant document issued by the competent Authority, in case of any request for reservation.

(iv) Document showing the break in study, if any.

(v) Two more recent Coloured Photographs.

e) After getting the Recommendation of the Admission Committee and Payment note from the Admission Section, the candidate has to Meet the Principal accompanied by Parent / Legal Guardian for the allotment of seat.

f) Finally, the selected candidate has to Pay the prescribed fee at the Cash Counter and obtain the receipts for the paid amount. The receipt should be retained by the candidate for all future references, refunds, etc.

g) The students, who would like to borrow the original documents for counseling sessions of professional courses, have to request the same in writing with an undertaking to the effect that he/she will submit the original documents as and when asked by the college or within one month of the date of admission.

h) Identity Card will be issued in due course after the re-opening of the college.

B) Students passing Std. XII or Equivalent examination from other than Goa Board Follow the procedure mentioned under 1. Besides, at the time of admission, should submit Provisional Eligibility Certificate issued by Goa University and Migration Certificate from the Board concerned.

All the above categories of students will be admitted provisionally, subject to their Enrollment/Registration with Goa University or issue of Final Eligibility Certificate by Goa University.

C) Students who seek transfer from any other College or Institutions in Goa

The candidate has to submit N.O.C. from the former Institution. If N.O.C. is accepted by the Principal, the candidate has to procure an Application Form and Prospectus by paying the requisite fees, submit the duly completed form following the procedure 1 onwards along with the Parent/Guardian. After the final selection, Transference Certificate will have to be received by the college from the earlier Institution/College. (A letter of selection will be given by this college, but the candidate has to pursue the case and submit in the college before paying the Fees).

2) FOR THIRD AND FIFTH SEMESTER B.A./B.SC./B.COM.

The candidate has to Procure an application form and prospectus or Information Bulletin from the Stores Section or the Students’ Counter by paying the stipulated amount of fee (Rs.100). The student has to submit the duly completed form countersigned by the Parent/Guardian, along with self attested Photo copies of the Statement of Marks of the last examinations answered and two latest Colour Photographs to the Admission Committee pasting one on the admission form along with all other required documents from 06.05.2015 to 10.05.2015 or between 10.06.2015 and 14.06.2015.

After Scrutiny, if recommended, the candidate will be orally informed or a subsequent Reporting date will be given.

The candidate failing to get admission will be given other option/s, if available in the college.

After getting the Recommendation of the Admission Committee and Payment note from the Admission Section, the candidate has to Meet the Principal for the allotment of seat. Finally, the selected candidate has to Pay the prescribed fee, at the Cash Counter and obtain the receipts for the paid amount.

The Fee Receipt should be retained by the candidate for all future references, refunds, etc.

Identity Card will be issued in due course after re-opening of the college.

ALL ADMISSIONS ARE VALID ONLY FOR ONE SEMESTER and has therefore to be renewed for each subsequent semester.

In all cases of cancellation, the University enrollment fees shall be refunded in full unless the fees have already been remitted to the University.

Whenever a dispute arises either due to interpretations or genuineness of the case, the matter shall be forwarded for consideration to the University and decision of the Vice-Chancellor will be final and binding on all.
