The Department of Commerce and Career Guidance, Placement & Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Government College of Arts, Sci & Com – Khandola – Marcela in collaboration with COMTECH COMPUTER ACADEMY – Ponda conducted 25 hours ( 16 Days ) “ Certificate Course in TALLY ACCOUNTING & G.S.T.” from 6th to 23rd November 2017. Total 66 students from T.Y.B.Com of our college were professionally trined under the resourceful guidance of two eminent experts through theory,practical’s and on-line uploading of Tally & GST transactions.

The concluding ceremony was graced by Principal Dr.Purnakala Samant, Mr. William Vaz – Director & Trainer Comtech Computer Academy, Dr.Radhamani Divakar-HOD, Dept. of Commerce, Dr. Sitaram Sukhthankar- Associate Professor in Commerce, & Mr. Devanand Velingkar – Course Co-ordinator & Assistant Professor in Commerce.
The Principal highlighted the significance of skill base short term courses in grooming the competence of aspiring entrepreneurs from books to e-technology.She also cited success stories of global business tycoons. Dr. Sitaram Sukhthankar in his address focused on motto of “One Nation One Tax” missioned through online reporting with Tally Accounting and GST software. Such trainings shall instill among youths the philanthrophical traits of Honesty, Transperancy and Accountability needed in conduct of business affairs which shall provide impetus to achieve National Vission Superpower India by 2030.

Mr. Wiiam Vaz counselled the trainees to transpire their theoretical learnings into professional skills. He boosted upon the power of Internet access and social media lamenting on the need of youger generation to devote their quality time and efforts in grooming vocation base skills through formal training and self involvement.

Dr. Radhamani Divakar reiterated that modern business demands multitasking workforce. Hence appealed prospectees to initiate personal tasks for enhancing ones employability skills.
Mr. Devanand Velingkar, Course Co-ordinator envisaged on departmental plans towards “Mission Job”. He gifted incubates the modern mantra of “Plan – Perform – Prosper”. The ambitious youths must channelise their creativity towards enterprising ventures by availing technical and financial support from Govt. authorities. If their ideas are supplemented by incubation mentoring, technology, the country shall soon be freed from employment crisis and poverty. Such courses shall open the emlpoyment avenues in Private & Public sector, Freelancer ( Tax Consultant) and Entrepreneur.

The ceremony concluded with complements to particpant & gratitudes to organising team. The Course was Co-co-ordinated by Assistant Professor in Commerce Ms: Ranjana Sawaikar, Ms: Steffi Quintal, Ms. Samiksha Naik.
